Coordinating structure: In Hungary currently there is no platform dedicated to Climate neutral cities, the current support structure consists of governmental bodies who collaborate in the form of an informal working group. The Government supports cities’ climate-related investments mainly through the calls from Operational Programs, especially the Environment and Energy Efficiency Plus Operative Program (EEEOP+). In addition, the Hungarian Government provides financial support for climate-related projects supported by direct EU funding programs.
National partners supporting the Cities Mission: National Research, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Interior, as well as national agencies as NKFIH and EMI.
