Albanian Missions HUB: a mission-driven platform supporting the green and digital transition

The Albanian Missions HUB has been recognised as a Good Practice on the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform for its impact to innovation and place-based development.

The initiative provides a collaborative platform connecting public institutions, academia, entrepreneurs and civil society to address complex societal challenges through coordinated action and innovation. By aligning local initiatives with European strategic priorities, the HUB contributes to advancing the green and digital transitions while strengthening Albania’s innovation ecosystem.

Through its multi-level mission-driven governance model, the platform facilitates partnerships, knowledge exchange and investment mobilisation around territorial initiatives in areas such as circular economy, sustainable mobility and digital inclusion.

The Albanian Missions HUB demonstrates how place-based ecosystems can translate European policy priorities into concrete cities and regional initiatives, offering a transferable model for mission-oriented innovation across Europe.
