Denmark

Denmark’s national platform, initiated by CONCITO and now coordinated by Local Government Denmark, supports all municipalities in implementing, revising and recertifying their climate action plans on mitigation, adaptation and climate equity. A critical priority is securing long-term anchoring and funding after 2028, as current philanthropic funding from Realdania runs out.

KEY PRIORITIES

  • Funding security: Secure funding sources post-2028 through new projects and partnerships.
  • Governance dialogue: Strengthen multi-level governance dialogue and the CHAMP agenda.
  • Monitoring and revision: Optimise monitoring and support climate action plan revision.

THEMATIC FOCUS
