First Capacity building session on the Mission Cities Climate City Contract’s process – Deep dive into Climate City Contract: How can the national level get involved in the development of the CCCs?

The first capacity building session of the project started with exploring how the national governments can engage with the Mission Cities to develop Climate City Contracts (CCC). The participants were able to learn more about the CCC as a governance innovation tool that can facilitate multi-level collaboration. The session was built on the previous meeting with the NZC City Advisors and presented an excellent opportunity for the CapaCITIES Core Country partners to learn more about CCCs with a focus on Action and Investment Plans and to explore how national governments can get involved in this process. It also encouraged participants to visit the NetZeroCities Portal  – a knowledge repository for Mission Cities rich in interesting resources and recommendations and to participate in a session of Q&A with two representatives of the NZC City Advisors group.
