Coordinating structure: Ministry of University and Research (MUR) is responsible for the national coordination and supports the implementation of the Cities Mission in Italy. At the operational level, there is a working team set up by the MUR, which involves experts from the University of Bologna (UniBO) and the University of Palermo (UniPA) who are national delegates in the Horizon Europe Program Committee for Cluster 5. Within CapaCITIES, the working team includes two leading Italian research organizations such as National Council of Research (CNR) and the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), which are playing a relevant role in terms of capacity building activities and outreach to target stakeholders’ groups at the national level, besides their involvement in the project activities in CapaCITIES.
